To access SIRS, first log into eServices and then click on the SIRS link.

Risk management

What are the requirements for the ORM courses (Basic thru Advanced). Are they required for certain ratings/specialties? I cannot find it in CAPR 62-1, other than safety officers and commanders.

The Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Risk Management courses posted online in the ‘Online Education’ segment of the Safety Information and Reporting System (SIRS) are academic requirements for some Technician, Senior and Master Ratings, for example the Safety Officer Specialty Track and the Command Specialty Training Track. These are described in the pamphlets for those specialty tracks.

Other than for the Specialty Tracks these courses are useful to take but not mandatory.

What happened to ECI Course CDC 24150 which used to be required in CAPP 217 for a senior rating in safety?

CAPP 217 has been revised and the requirement for the correspondence course replaced with online safety courses. Each rating (technician, senior, and master) contains knowledge requirements, academic requirements and service requirements. See current guide for requirements.
