About Me

I am C/AB Moran Urena, a member of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), serving in the Westchester Cadet Squadron 1 (NER-NY-048), under the Northeast Region. My journey in CAP reflects my passion for aviation, leadership, and public service. I am committed to upholding the core values of Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, and Respect.

Civil Air Patrol Involvement

As a member of Westchester Cadet Squadron 1, I actively participate in the cadet program, learning essential skills such as aerospace education, emergency services, and leadership development. My goal is to advance through the ranks, acquire new knowledge, and contribute to the Civil Air Patrol’s mission of serving the community and nation.

Aviation Enthusiast

My interest in aviation extends beyond CAP. I am an active VATSIM pilot (CID 1769468), applying the same discipline and focus from my flying simulations to my real-world CAP training. I am also fascinated by aviation safety, recently conducting an in-depth analysis of the Voepass Linhas Aéreas Flight 2283 incident, where I concluded that ice buildup played a critical role in the crash.

Technical Background

In addition to my dedication to CAP, I am a Node.js software developer. I specialize in backend development and web technologies, including Node.js, Express, and RESTful APIs. I enjoy working on innovative projects such as:

Biteq by Teqquu: A Bitcoin Lightning API designed for efficient payouts without transaction fees.
