Welcome to CAPipedia! Civil Air Patrol is a congressionally chartered, federally supported non-profit corporation and they serve as the U.S. Air Force auxiliary. CAPipedia is an official Civil Air Patrol website, maintained by registered CAP members.
Even though CAPipedia is maintained by CAP members, editors should cite using an official publication or regulation by Civil Air Patrol, or a military entity, such as the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Army.

1. General Information
CAPipedia is fairly new, so some pages may not work. CAPipedia is updated fairly often by our fellow editors. You may use CAPipedia to learn information about Civil Air Patrol, but don't use it to cite evidence, always use the publication cited.
2. Refrain from Certain Activities
As CAPipedia is a publicly accessible Civil Air Patrol website, CAPR 110-1 and CAPP 1-2 may apply. Remember to uphold the CAP core values: Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence and Respect. Additionally to that, 36 U.S.C. § 40306 gives us the exclusive right to use the name, insignia, copyrights, emblems, badges, marks, and words used to represent us. 4. Modifications to these Terms of Service
These Terms of Service can be updated at any moment without any notification as any CAPipedia editor can edit the Terms of Service, although it is recommended a discussion be started to avoid any potential conflict.
5. Jurisdiction
Civil Air Patrol is headquartered in Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL, subject to U.S. federal law.
