Usage
- This cleanup template can be used to tag pages that use HTML markup that can be replaced with wiki markup.
{{Cleanup HTML}}
puts articles into Category:Articles with HTML markup and Category:Articles covered by WikiProject Wikify- An unnamed parameter will replace the word "article" in the alert box message —
{{Cleanup HTML|section}}
changes the message to start "This section uses HTML markup". - When adding to a page, it is helpful to other editors to specify which tags are unwanted, like this:
{{cleanup HTML|tags=table, tr, td}}
— These tags will be displayed in the alert box.- For a list of which tags are unwanted and instructions on how to perform cleanup, see Category:Articles with HTML markup.
- If a date parameter is provided such as
{{Cleanup HTML|date=November 2024}}
then the page is put into a by-month category instead. If the date is left out, a bot will add it later. - This template is a self reference.
