This template should be used when the article appears to be written like a [[news article]] or a [[press release]]. It is used when the article may not be promotional or overly-negative, but is still unencyclopedic in tone.

* To mark specific sections instead of the whole article, place {{tlx|Cleanup press release|section}} at the top of the section.

;remarks
* To replace the text "article or section", supply a first argument, e.g. {{tlx|Cleanup press release|article}} {{tlx|Cleanup press release|section}}
* To replace the text "a press release", you may use {{tlx|Cleanup press release|article/section|yourtext}} or {{tlx|Cleanup press release|2=yourtext}}
* You may use the optional date parameter, e.g. <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup press release|</nowiki>date={{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code>. This helps with the categorization of articles requiring attention.
* The simplest way to add this template to an article is to copy and paste<code> <nowiki>{{Cleanup press release|</nowiki>date={{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code> at the top of the article or talk page.
