== Usage ==
This template is intended to be put at the top of biographical articles which rely primarily or entirely on the [[IMDb|Internet Movie Database]] (IMDb) as a source. It places the articles in [[:Category:Articles sourced by IMDb]] or an appropriate subcategory.

If a significant amount of material is attributed to sources other than IMDb, but there is still unreferenced material, consider using {{tlx|BLP refimprove}} instead. Add {{tlx|BLP unsourced section|date=August 2020}} at the top of biographical sections with no references.

=== Parameters ===
This template takes three named parameters:
* {{para|date}}, to add the date manually
* {{para|only}}, if IMDb is the ''only'' source, then add {{para|only|yes}} – the default is "no". The {{tlx|BLP IMDb-only refimprove}} template is a wrapper for this template with the {{para|only|yes}} parameter included.
* {{para|living}}, if the article's subject is not alive, then add {{para|living|no}} – the default is "yes". This parameter set to "no" will omit the final sentence of the template, and the first link will then go to [[WP:BDP]], which explains that [[WP:BLP]] may still apply to non-living persons under certain conditions.
