To access RMR resources, such as department continuity files, you must log in to Office 365/Teams. Unfortunately, logging in is not totally straightforward because RMR accounts are either real @rmr.cap.gov email accounts, or ''guest'' accounts.

What is a guest account?

An Office 365/Teams guest account is an account that uses an email address other than @rmr.cap.gov. For example, let's say you're a COWG member but you have an RMR duty assignment. You might have a @cowg.cap.gov account, and you only want to use that email address for all CAP business; in other words, you don't want an @rmr.cap.gov account. People in this situation must log in to RMR Office 365 as a guest account, rather than a real @rmr.cap.gov account.

Guest accounts have many of the same capabilities as real @rmr.cap.gov accounts, but there are some limitations. Here are some examples of things you can/can't do with an Office 365 guest account:
